| Data retention software Software with capabilities of preserving network traffic data for a period required by applicable law. Traffic data is information that uniquely determines the source, destination, date, time, duration and type of communication for all devices within a network. The retention of these data provides a view into past interactions and enables the identification of the devices used in the chain of communication. Access to the data, as well as their distribution and processing are only allowed to competent authorities. Data retention is enabled by a combination of adequate software and hardware. |
